The product that ships first
The Deterica Kit
A prosthetic hand costs more than a car and takes months to obtain. Nobody should have
to buy one to find out whether this control model suits them. The Deterica Kit is
the control of that hand without the hand itself: a desktop kit with a lever, and an app
that draws the hand the lever moves.
The two halves do not arrive together. The app is built, and it needs no
hardware: it runs on a phone alone, and a person can learn the control model
on the screen. The kit is in development. It will connect to the same app, and then a
lever on the desk moves the hand on the screen.
What the kit is for
A control method either suits a person or it does not, and no description settles
that. The kit exists so a person finds out first. The lever gives the movement a
socket gives, the app draws the hand that follows it, and no prosthesis is involved
at all.
A prosthetic hand is a commitment of money and of months. So the order here is
deliberate: try the control, and then decide. The app stays free, and it needs no
kit. Nothing on this page is advice on the choice of a prosthesis. Speak to a
prosthetist.
The kit
A lever, two buttons, one light
The lever stands in for the residual limb. The kit reads the lever, applies the
same calibration, and runs the same control logic a hand would run. It works with
no phone: the buttons, the light, and the calibration all work alone.

The app
The hand, on your phone
The app shows a virtual hand that follows the lever with no visible delay. It runs
with no kit at all: a lever and two buttons on the screen drive the same control
logic, so anybody can try the model before a kit exists.
